Who is Nijat Ibrahimli?
Nijat Ibrahimli: From a Childhood Interest in Technology to a Career in Motion Design
Nijat Ibrahimli is an Azerbaijani motion designer, animator, and educational content creator. Known for his After Effects and motion design tutorials, he has built a YouTube audience of 200,000 subscribers and an Instagram following of more than 300,000. His work combines animation, practical teaching, and digital content production, with a long-term ambition to build the world’s largest video tutorial library.
His journey began with a mobile phone, a curiosity about websites, and a willingness to learn through experimentation.

Early Life and Education
Nijat was born on June 7, 1994, in Shuvalan, a settlement in the Khazar district of Baku, Azerbaijan. In 2000, he began attending Secondary School No. 237 in Shuvalan, where he studied through the eleventh grade.
He did not attend university. Instead, he developed his professional skills independently, learning software, experimenting with personal projects, and gradually turning his interests into paid work.
His first serious interest in technology emerged in the seventh grade, when his father bought him his first mobile phone. Nijat became fascinated by mobile websites and online chat communities. He spent time exploring other people’s websites, studying their features, and trying to understand how he could create something similar.
Building His First Website in 2008
In 2008, Nijat’s father bought him his first computer. After spending the first month or two playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, he returned to the interest that had already captured his attention: building websites.
That year, he created his first WAP website and chat platform. He brought users together and developed a small online community where people could communicate. Later, he closed the chat section and transformed the website into a technology blog, publishing regular posts about subjects that interested him.
These early projects gave him experience creating content and attracting an audience years before YouTube became his main focus.

Discovering 3D Design and Earning His First Income
In 2009, Nijat became interested in computer graphics. At the time, software DVDs were commonly sold near metro exits in Baku. He bought a copy of 3ds Max 2008 and began teaching himself 3D design.
Around the same period, he purchased a Nikon camera and started filming music videos for young rappers. At fifteen, he was charging approximately 100 Azerbaijani manat per video and earning his first income from creative work.
Filming and editing music videos gave him practical experience while he continued studying computer graphics. Over time, he expanded his skills to include After Effects, EDIUS, Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, ZBrush, and Photoshop.
His education took place through hands-on work: learning a tool, trying an idea, solving a problem, and applying what he had learned to the next project.

From Military Service to Freelance Animation
In 2013, Nijat began eighteen months of military service. After returning, he spent about a week looking for work before finding a video editing position at an advertising agency. His monthly salary was 400 Azerbaijani manat.
He worked at the agency for seven months before leaving to pursue freelancing.
The transition was difficult at first. Finding clients required persistence, and building a reputation took time. Nijat focused on creating stronger work and showing potential clients what he could produce.
Between 2016 and 2020, he built an established freelance career in Azerbaijan, particularly in 2D animation and motion design. As his portfolio developed, his client base grew, and freelancing became a reliable source of income.

A New Direction Through YouTube
Nijat began uploading videos to YouTube in 2016, initially publishing occasionally while continuing his freelance work.
In 2020, around the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided to change direction. Although his freelance career was financially successful, he had begun to feel worn down by client work and the constant communication it required. He wanted to focus more of his time on creating and teaching.
He stepped away from freelance projects and committed to his YouTube channel.
For the next three years, he published a video every day. That consistent effort helped his channel reach 100,000 subscribers and established educational content as the center of his career.
As income from YouTube and sponsorships became more stable, he was able to leave client freelancing behind and concentrate on developing his own content.
Nijat Ibrahimli Media Channels
Today, Nijat manages two YouTube channels, two Instagram accounts, and other social media channels under the name Nijat Ibrahimli Media Channels. He works with a three-person team to support content production and channel operations.
His main YouTube channel has reached 200,000 subscribers and contains more than 1,700 videos. His Instagram following exceeds 300,000.
His educational work focuses primarily on After Effects, motion design, animation, and video editing. Drawing on his experience in freelance production and stock animation, he creates practical tutorials that help viewers learn techniques they can apply to their own projects.
He also produces sponsored content, demonstrating creative tools through tutorials and visual projects.
Building a Lasting Educational Resource
Nijat’s long-term goal is to turn his YouTube channel into the world’s largest video tutorial library. His target is to publish 100,000 videos, creating an extensive resource for people learning creative software and digital production.
That ambition continues a pattern that began in his school years: exploring a tool, learning how it works, and using it to create something others can access.
From building a mobile website in 2008 to producing animation tutorials for an international audience, Nijat Ibrahimli has built his career through independent learning and consistent creative work. His focus now is on expanding that work into a lasting educational resource for the next generation of creators.
